The IMT has been sectarian towards liberation movements in Palestine, Ireland, Spain (ETA), and (probably) other places I'm forgetting. They managed to attack the IRA for its violence while remaining members of the British Labour Party while it was violently suppressing the Irish people and committing other, greater, crimes around the world. In all these cases, IMO, they were catering to the chauvinism of the workers of the oppressor nation.

The situation is different in Bolivia, where the working class is mostly indigenous and oppressed by the European minority. In this case, there's no privileged, chauvinist working class to suck up to, so their workerism puts them on the right side of the barricades.
