[Marxism] Which "Americans"?

I don't know Marvin, Joaquin was following up with that comment to his 
paragraph on the "bible-thumping," "gun-toting".... etc.

Those who make an ideology, and a living, from their bible-thumping and 
gun-toting are not what I would call the heart and soul of the white working 
class, even small town, rural, white working class.  White "declassed" 
elements certainly.  Sustained of course by the bigger money classes .

Fear is what grips the hearts of white workers.  They may make them fodder 
for right wing propaganda, but it certainly does not make them 
self-satisfied, or childish, or arrogant.

My point was that liberal or conservative, the self-satisfied and brutish 
elements of the "culture"  the mixture of arrogance and ignorance fits as 
well, if not better,  the "liberal," "progressive" elements.

Ask the people of Afghanistan...
