This that Brecht uses as an effective sarcasm was exactly what
pro-imperialists and pro-oligarchs did with the Argentineans,
Paraguayans and Uruguayans during the last third of the 19th Century.
Whoever ignores this ignores everything essential on the history of
the countries in thelower River Plate Basin.

A pity their election was shortlived, and the remains of the
overthrown people began to spurt again into politics quite soon.

They are trying to murder that virus ever since.
