[Marxism] A War Protest Falls Short in Manhattan

My union turned out 300 to 400 people, union members plus their students, families and retirees.
We had three or four union bullhorns to keep the chanting going, build up spirit and hold a street meeting on our struggle for a new contract in connection with the struggle against the war.
When one of the UfPJ marshals came by to tell us how to join the march -- a very complicated procedure -- she refused to use our sound system, saying "we don't have a permit."
My union had its own chants and even a few songs because our directions from UfPJ were that we should refrain from them.
