[Marxism] A War Protest Falls Short in Manhattan

I agree with Mike's observations.
The night before the march I was at a single-payer meeting where you'd think
everyone would have known about the protest, and most didn't. I was getting
a sense even before that that the word wasn't getting out.
Between that, and dismal reports from Wednesday's antiwar events, I was
expecting a much more modest crowd than turned out (5,000?). And so the size
both encouraged me and pissed me off because of how much more could have
been done.
Re the education event: who sponsored it? I saw a TONC flyer, but assumed
the main event was UFT. No?
Re addressing the movement's problems: see natassembly.org. This is not an
attempt to start a new, third coalition, but an effort to unite the
movement.
p.s. this is my first from gmail, let me know if there's formatting issues.
