I don't think this is an issue of lack of support as in horrible publicity. Past anti-war demonstrations have enjoyed the backing of large reputable anti-war groups like IVAW etc. A similar issue occured in Baltimore Maryland. Groups of old comrades and their kids took to the street and protested. I knew nothing of the protest, even though i'm very politically active in the area, but, I was able to stand in solidarity. As cars rode past, over the course if the day, thousands honked their horns and waved in solidarity (some even joined the cause) As the previous example illustrates, there are a lot of people fed up with this oppressive war and the effects its had on Iraqi citizens, our soilders and even us citizens. All of this desire is compounded by the new discussion of the three trillion dollar war and the general questioning of its sustainability. In the end, people want to resist; however, anti-war organizers need to become transparent
in organizing action, allowing coalition building and publicity.
