No, but the UN is a forum pulled between the imperialist powers, and
mostly dominated by the one of them, the US. So I don't think describing
the UN as not being an outside power is that helpful here. It does the
bidding of imperialism, it just isn't quite so partisan about which
particular imperialist it exclusively serves. Saying the UN isn't "a
major imperialist power in its own right" is like saying the IMF or
World Bank isn't "a major imperialist power in its own right". It may be
true, but whose interests do they serve?
