[Marxism] WTO Talks Collapse: US Fails to Bulldoze

The article includes the phrase "developing countries" or "develping world" or something very similar in at least every other sentence. Such use of the word "developing" is so common that even most Marxists don't notice how meaningless it is, in that there's no reasonable definition of "developing" by which countries thus labelled can be said to be "developing" more than countries not so labelled. As I see it, the use of this euphemism for countries on the bottom of the imperialist food chain serves the purpose of hiding the reality of imperialism and neocolonialism. It also covertly promotes the bourgeois notion that the poorer, oppressed countries can and should become "developed" like the imperialist countries.

I'd be interested in being pointed to Marxist critiques of this "developing countries" nonsense.
