Ah this brings to mind long gone days and nights of arguing at Essex Uni
with the Militant tendency.  Really lovely people all of them and I cherish
the memory of having met them.  But they would never allow vulgar reality to
interfere with the "*line*".  And bless them they always had a "*line*" no
matter how irrelevant, fanciful or just down right crazy.
