LITTLE-READ BOOK

From responses received by Russian artist Yevgeniy Fiks, who donated
copies of V. I. Lenin's Imperialism: The Highest Stage of Capitalism to
one hundred global corporations. Fourteen copies were accepted, twenty
were rejected for various reasons, and the fates of sixty-six are
unknown. The letters are collected in Lenin for Your Library?, published
in June by Ante Projects.

Thanks for taking the time to contact us. Thank you for contacting the
Coca-Cola Company. We appreciate your generous gesture. However, the
focus of our library stock is on the soft-drink industry, and we are
unable to accept your donation.

Thank you for sending Imperialism: The Highest Stage of Capitalism to
CHANEL. Unfortunately, CHANEL does not have a corporate library at this
time. We have enclosed the book within this package.

Thank you for taking the time to contact Campbell Soup Company with your
suggestion. To avoid any misunderstandings, we have made it a policy not
to review unsolicited ideas for marketing concepts submitted by
consumers. I hope you can understand our position on this matter. We are
returning the book because we know it is something you will want to keep
and treasure.

Thank you for your recent donation to Staples. Though we don't have a
company library, my associates and I thought it was an excellent
suggestion. We hope we can soon have a place where all those interested
can enjoy a good book.
