[Marxism] Obama-mania?

Not living in the USA these days I do not have any day
to day contact with people there, but my impression
from afar is that Obama-mania did not exist in the
black community or among regular people before the
Iowa caucuses. Certainly no one on this list,
including Joaquin, was talking about it.

In Iowa Obama-mania was a phenom mostly among white
and well educated people in their 20's, if I read
Joaquin's posts correctly.

So I have to ask, is there really "Obama-mania" among
regular people in the USA, especially in the black
community, as Joaquin writes in his most recent post?

"People need to stop thinking about what the ruling
class is up to and try to
start understanding things FROM BELOW, from the point
of view of "regular
people," and in this case the Black community and the
youth that have been
swept up by Obama-mania."
