I can't believe there would be anyone on this list who does not support the writers strike
(other than anti-marxists who check the list to keep in touch with the enemy-as sometimes I look 
at the Front Page site).
The first episode of the returned Dave Letterman show was seen here(Australia) last night.
It was amazing how strong ( but idiosyncratic) a pro-union point of view was put there. This was 
somewhat spoiled by the interview with Robin Williams which centred on his recent entertainment 
tour to Iraq.
It seems that the contract between the Letterman organisation and the WGA maybe a significant 
development in the dispute. At least it was in contrast to Leno who returned without the striking writers 
and had as his first guest Mike Huckabee-as I understand it -the most right-wing of the Republican 
presidential aspirants.(I didn't see this as it is avaiable here only on cable.)
