[Marxism] Failure of hostage release

Seen from Bogotá, the failure of the hostage release
effort by the FARC, is NOT a defeat for Chaves.
Chaves, even in the coverage by El Tiempo, comes
across as an honest broker who went the extra mile to
try to gain the release of the hostages. Uribe comes
off as a dishonest politician who either A) knew that
Emanuel was in Bogotá long before the FARC offered to
release him and the other two hostages, or B) lied
about the child. (Until the DNA tests demanded by the
family are done, which one is true will not be known.)

It should be said that the FARC has little credibility
here in Bogotá, not just among its declared enemies,
but amnog the supporters of the Polo as well. In that
mileau, the FARC may have regained some credibility,
althought here has been no public reaction by the Polo
as far as I know.
