Once the general election comes, he'll be black. The Republicans will
find ways to make sure of that.

 Remember right now we're talking about elections or caucuses
attracting just the base of the Democratic Party.

The party tops are quite aware of this. How much will they be willing to
risk?

Edwards is a good backup/second choice, even better if he scoops up the
prog/labor portion and keeps them safely in the tent.
