In reading on Wikipedia and learning the details, I wonder whether
there was any intelligence operation with Zionist support or not. I
guess not. Zionism hadn't had time, as yet, to get to full ripeness.

Such as recently in Argentina, where some of the main Zionist leaders
of the Jewish community held the idea that those Jews who had been
tortured and murdered under the 1976 dictatorship deserved it because
they had quit their Jewishness and had become enemies of Israel!

It is worth mentioning that the fraction of Jews who were murdered
and tortured was higher than their fraction in the whole of the
population, as well as the fact that Jews were offered a "special
treatment" by the killers.

¡traidor! ¡traidor!" - Martiniano Chilavert a
Manuel Oribe, 1848»
