only radicalize more people, swell their ranks and perhaps gain them
legitimacy as the defenders of Gaza and the Palestinian people.  They are
trying to achieve their goal--- the eradication of Israeli and the
establishment of the Palestinian state.  It makes sense that they want
Israel to escalate this unpopular mission.  Remember they view this conflict
in a much broader scope than individual lives and a single generation.

Of course I agree with you and I think its fatalistic and think that the
terrorist tactic was a big mistake from the start of it a half century ago.
