On this view, what dominant factors do you believe explain the apathy of
most Americans toward the current state of affairs? Ignorance? Fatalism?
It's worthwhile to point out that in this context, "loving" is used in the
same sense that a heroin addict "loves" her needle. So it's probably more
accurate to say that people are addicted to oppression.
