Very interesting information.  What comes across most powerfully in their 
editorials is their recognition that the real gains in healthcare are gains 
in public healthcare, in sanitation, in proper care for women, mothers, and 
children on a social basis.  The commitment is to a social remedy for 
pathologies that are at heart the product of poverty and inequality.

Reading the Lancet's analyses of maternal mortality rates, HIV infection 
transmission should be enough to convince anyone of the need for socialism.
