On the contrary I must congratulate the In Defense of Marxisn web-site, for
publishing this article and beginning a discussion on the fad of Western
governments - so-called anthropometric global warming - which they are now
calling climate change - since they have to admit there has been no global
warming for the last 10 years according to the surface measurmeents and much
longer according to the information from satellites.
In my experience most people suspect the whole attitude to governments to
carbon-dioxide emission is just a crude way of extending further taxes and
control on every aspect of our life - and are just about fed up with the
concentration of the media on it.
The main arguments, much extended with scientific references by the author
of the article referred to, have been on my web-site since 3nd November 2996
at http://apling.freeservers.com/GlobalWarming.htm and my attempts to raise
the question on left-wing web-sites have met with such opprobrium, and lack
of substantive argument, that I have long given up trying to deal with such
closed minds.
No on can deny that climate is changing - it always has and will continue to
do so -whatever governments claim to be doing about it on the basis of the
output of compute forecaste untested against real world data - which I am
most of my friends regard as GIGO - garbage in, garage out, despite the vast
amount of government funds extended on them. It seems to me all of the
usual attempt of governments to create a climate of fear.
