The latter add to surplus value via production of labor power. Look at
their role socially. But, also workers in transmission of dominant
ideology. Pigs enforce extraction of surplus value. Enforce hierarchic
power relations and privileges. Enforce private property. Enforce.
Violence.

Police are NOT conscripts, but career option.

Army is OFTEN used internally: national guard. CONSTANT presence in Penn
Station, Grand Central Station since 9/11. Constantly used to repress
African American community in 60s-70s and more recently in New Orleans.
Carefully chosen units of regular army, as well as national guard used
internally. See Sir! No Sir! Army inculcates racism, xenophobia just as
