Hallo Lou,
The capitalist press is really digging through the minor nationalities to
find something to berate China with.
Really a question of looking for the mote and ignoring the beam - with their
support of Israel's cruel colonization of Palestine and US involvement in
Iraq and Afghanistan, among so many others - which just demonstrates their
extreme hypocrisy, in encouraging what is often objectively reactionary
development of separative "nationalism" - so often with a religious base -
among minor nationalities across the world, which is the obverse of the
general development of chauvinistic nationalism in the imperialist
countries.
It is extrmely sad to see how often well-meaning "progressives" in the
imperialist countries are taken in by this propaganda.

Uighurs struggle in a world reshaped by Chinese influx
In China's far west, the Muslim ethnic group finds itself relegated to
menial jobs. Chinese officials also restrict religious practice and use
of their language in schools.
