Fifty years ago, in a country with a 12-month growing season and
wonderfully fertile land, the Cuban Revolution began with the promise
of land reform and an end to the colonialist system of sugar
monoculture. So after 50 years of broken promises and Stalinist-style
industrial agriculture the Cuban government is starting to do what it
promised to do 50 years ago. Wonderful!
