I disagree.  Not about the Militant's words being contemptible, but  
that many of us have "harbored that thought at one time or another,  
and probably pretty often."  And that is because Wright is a Christian  
Believer speaking in the prophetic tradition.  Only a Believer can  
*think* in terms of asking "God" to "damn," "bless," or indeed *do*  
anything at all.  Our sermonizing uses a different language/thought  
structure.
