Well, he's doing/saying these things because he actually wants to win
the Presidency, and in the current circumstances you can't win the
Presidency in the USA without saying these things.

If he said the things you want him to say, he would not win.
(Kucinich, for example, says some of the things you want Obama to say.
Look where that got Kucinich.)
