I think some Marxists explain it by  present racism, but some Marxists
would
ascribe it more to the (material as well as cultural) effects of
*past*
racism

CB: Yes, myself, by "racism" I mean one "thing" , and it is the actions
of living people and the continuing effects of actions by dead
generations.  The slave system and Jim Crow still impact us today.
