I would hope that since we're all comrades and
Marxists on this list, that we don't have intelligent
arguments by "bashing" anyone - US Imperialism (the
main enemy), China or any other theme. Hard facts
should suffice.

I would just ask comrades to carefully read Albo's
article on China (and any other that looks at China in
a concrete, objective and critical manner) - and
decide for yourself - is China Socialist or not. And
don't just look at the fact that the Chinese state is
headed by the Communist Party. Look at it concretely.
What makes China socialist - in the sense that Karl
Marx would agree.

If you read Albo's article, you will see many
references from CPC documents that clearly outline
their tendency to favour Market forces and away from
working class emancipation (in the Marxist sense).

If China were really a Socialist country, they could
easily provide an emancipatory example to the rest of
the world - for example they can pass a law to reduce
the work day. Thereby challenging the rest of the
capitalist world to do the same (just as the early
Soviet Revolution was an example for Women's Suffrage
to the rest of the world). But, sadly, I don't see the
CCP making any such gesture.

"The 16th Party Congress in 2002 adopted the strategy
of the “Three Represents,” which included representing
the most advanced productive forces. Capitalists were
thus welcomed to join the CCP; a policy to attach
party committees to private companies logically
followed."
