Sorry to drag out an OT discussion, but someone needs help.
> A) Not everyone uses Unix. Indeed MOST people do not.
Not only is mutt is ported to Windows, there is Cygwin for Windows
that supports mutt. My real point was that there are decent mail
readers for Windows out there. Eudora, for example.
As an aside: just because most people use Windows, hardly means that
we all should. Cuba, after all, has gone open source (linux), and one
reason (among many) is that Microsoft probably allows the government
to snoop into your machine. That in itself would be a good reason to
switch.

Well, yes, you remind me that using Hotmail does kind of lock you
in. I know nothing about Windows, but had always heard that Hotmail
was problematic, and so I advise folks to use a different ISP. Why
don't you get a domain name of your own? The advantages (a portable
address, an identity, no embarassment about using Hotmail) might be
the excuse you need to face the hurdles you mention. When I discovered
that "diamat.com" had been taken by a commercial outfit, I snapped up
a bunch of similar domain names just so they wouldn't fall into the
hands of commercial interests. I see that Lenin.bz is not taken (for
obvious reasons). But there's Marx-Lenin.org, Marx-Lenin.info,
etc. Marx and revolution are taken. But class-struggle.net is
available.
