I don't think that's practical, but I have never heard arguments like
David Walters's in NLR, MR, Science and Society, and other theoretical
magazines. Within the party press, you can't find that in the Cliffite,
Marcyite, Fourth International and CPUSA press--as far as I know. Of
course, the Militant newspaper has been "evolving" on this
question--more in terms of defending the right of Iran to use nuclear
energy. On the question of Iran, I absolutely defend its right to
develop nuclear power. It is up to the people of Iran to decide whether
this makes sense or not, not the imperialist bourgeoisie. More to the
point, I'd like to see Iran get nuclear weapons as quick as possible in
order to defend itself against attack.
