I'm not sure if you're misrepresenting my argument as
a way of dismissing it or you just have trouble
reading what you disagree with. My point is not to
"help the industrial system chug along" but to lower
green house gas emissions since the world proletarian
revolution is unlikely to come along any day now to
save the environment.
The nuclear question, like the environmental question,
seems very political to me. Isn't the demand to lower
GHG emissions political? It is in that sense that I
think reevaluating fission is worthwhile, albeit not a
major political priority in this country.
There is not, as far as I am aware, any Marxist
consensus on the role of nuclear fission in the
current environmental crisis. If am am wrong about
that, please, let us know. Perhaps you could poll the
1,000+ subscibers of your list?
