Walter's raised this point several times in the last few days, and hasn't
had a response from any quarter yet.

Nader's ascribed positions on any number of things might be objectionable.
Elaine Brown is very explicitly opposed to abortion.  However, I do think
she'd be supportable as a candidate, if she won the Green nomination ...
though I doubt that she'd be the best choice in terms of having an impact.

A woman's legal right has survived the most serious efforts years of
reactionary administrations have mounted against it.  Nobody, least of all
Brown or Nader, is campaigning against it.

Of course, this wasn't an insurmountable obstacle to supporting Nader in
2004, 2000 or 1996.  Why they would become so now eludes me.
