[Marxism] On Cynthia McKinney, the Democratic Party and the Greens

Dear Comrades,

The problem is, even if Cynthia McKinney ran as a Green--a party that is NOT
anticapitalist; and many of whose members still think that there can be a
kinder and gentler capitalism if we elect the right, "good" people--will
still end up supporting the Democratic Party candidate just as Nader ended
up supporting (or encouraging, in areas where the vote was close between
Democrats and Republicans that people not "throw away" their votes on him
and vote for Kerry to "stop Bush.") Do you not think the same thing is going
to happen? The Green party is a "pressure" party. They are in existence to
pressure the politicians and threaten them with electoral competition if
they do not "come around" to at least "some of their demands."

The Greens are not against capitalism. They hold that position on purpose
because they are against "Communism, socialism" and their pre-conceived
notions of them that they perpetuate at every opportunity.

They perpetuate the myth that capitalism can be fair to bosses and workers
alike and that is simply the opposite of the truth and the fundamental,
incorrigible lie perpetrated against workers by capitalists everywhere
across the globe.

If one should learn nothing else in this life they should learn who their
real enemy is--the capitalist profit motive that puts private profit of the
few above all human life and even the life of the planet itself.

What should people do in face of a lack of a real working class labor party
to support? Help to build massive demonstrations in the streets to demand
that the U.S. Occupations around the world stop NOW. That the War end NOW.
That the troops--all the troops and so-called contractors--be brought home
now!

All of us should be encouraging the formation of a national and
international united coalition of forces to End the War Now! Bring all the
troops home NOW! in a democratic and united worldwide effort to show that we
indeed can function on such a humanitarian level!

All of us should be uniting to set such a massive example of rational
cooperation with one another. Together we can set the example of bringing
this violent and vicious government to its knees--stop business as usual and
bring this country to a standstill until they bring the troops home now and
stop their violence and terror and lay down their arms!

Capitalism is in its death throes. They will lash out at anything and anyone
to increase and, therefore, protect their massive wealth. They will stop at
nothing--even fight to the death among themselves in combat over
profits--and their cannon fodder will always be the working class, the
poverty stricken, the disenfranchised.

You can only stand on one side or the other of the class line. You are on
the side of the world's working class and their allies constituting the
overwhelming majority of the world's human population; or be on the side of
the capitalist slave-holders--a tiny percentage (one percent or less) of
humanity who own and control 99 percent of the worlds wealth and
resources--human and otherwise through the use of force of violence with the
most deadly and brutal arsenal ever before amassed on the planet.

The stakes in this, the final conflict, is the future of the human race. We
will either rid the world of this capitalist, despotic scourge or succumb to
world-wide, full-blown barbarism and a world of continual wars of aggression
of the wealthy against the poor until there is no one left.

Comradely,
