For those who can't scrape together the money for this article ($25 from 
the Brill website), there are other opportunities for basking in the 
wisdom of the Deutscher Memorial Prize winner that won't cost you a 
cent. Murphy was and is a denizen of the alt.politics.socialism.trotsky 
newsgroup, where monumental battles between astute Marxist thinkers like 
his nibs and his anti-Marxist opponents went on all the time. More 
entertaining than professional wrestling, but probably not as 
informative. You can read the exchanges on google/groups, all 2750 of 
them. Here's one of Murphy's more profound offerings. I am Koba, 
btw--Koba was Stalin's nickname, it seems. From my exchanges with 
Lippmann on China, etc., it should be obvious that I am a die-hard 
Stalinist:
