of the military's support roles. For example, you don't have army cooks and
army truck drivers...you have Halliburton cooks and drivers. Even some
combat roles are being contracted out, as we can see from the whole
Blackwater scandal. This keeps the casualty count low -- because the
military isn't responsible for Blackwater and Halliburton employees -- but
whenever one of them gets shot up they can smear the enemy by claiming they
attacked "civilian contractors".

Of course everyone now knows (or should know) that these contractors are
only civilian on paper (would it be acceptable for insurgents to treat them
as "enemy non-combatants"?)
