Fred objects to Joaquin's "typically sectarian insistence that any group is  worthless unless it has his position -- that nobody outside of Cuba should  have an opinion about which way forward in Cuba or anywhere else."   Joaquin can speak for himself, but it seems a bit Orwellian to me to describe as  "sectarian" any position that leaves the matter open to different views.

On the other hand, Walter argued that a position on Cuba should be the cornerstone of a regruopment process.  So, the sectarian boot seems to me to be on the other foot.
