essence, the political expression of nationally oppressed communities. Why
would this be a problem?"
And Greg replied, "Perhaps this is due to the fact that Great Britain never
had the historical experience of a Malcom X or a BPP. I'm only postulating,
of course."
I'm not sure exactly how to take Greg's comment, whether he was being
sarcastic in some way or what. So I'll limit myself to saying that Great
Britain may not YET have had that experience, but the kind of racism and
national oppression that gave rise to Black nationalism in the U.S. also
exists there, and my impression is that it seems to be sharpening.
