Louis is correct. And furthermore, in 1968, less than a year after
Che's death in Bolivia, Mexico was the only country in all of Latin
America which had diplomatic relations with the island.

Today Cuba has normal diplomatic ties with every country in Latin
America except El Salvador. and Mexico had always had relations,
sometimes strained, but always maintained. Spain and Cuba have also

Pakistan Mosque Body Count 75

Islamabad, Jul 12 (Prensa Latina) At least 75 bodies were recovered
on Thursday at the Red Mosque compound in this capital, raided and
taken by Pakistani special forces. Army spokesman General Waheed
Arshad said that of the 75 bodies found, 19 were charred beyond any
recognition.

Also, nine soldiers died in the two-day operation, and their funerals
were held Wednesday in Rawalpindi, about 12.4 miles from Islamabad,
in the presence pf President Pervez Musharraf.

Arshad showed reporters at the scene of the military arsenal occupied
by the militants, including suicide vests, grenade launchers and
mines. However, the search of bodies continues, so a final death toll
cannot be announced yet, he said.

and its support of normalized relations with Cuba gave it some
