[Marxism] 'Negroes with Guns' - prologue and Chapter One

Walter, I agree that Columbine wasn't about drugs or crime, per se.
Neither was Va. tech. Neither was the massacre of dozens of school kids
in Scotland 10 years ago where guns are completely banned nationwide.
How'd that happen? Because guns can't be banned. The recent increases
(actually it's 20 years now) in Britain of gun violence ... extremely
small still by US standards, shows how flaky gun laws, like drug laws,
are (in fact, guns are often smuggled in with the drugs). The causes are
societal, not because of the hardware out there, *legally*.

It is highly unlikely that Virgina Tech (which, btw, BANNED guns on
campus, the whole lot of good it did) would of happened had the state
had a law against selling guns to mental patients. That is the kind of
gun laws we do need. If they had that law, it is likely that this would
not of happened. I can only wish...*wish* that someone didn't take that
ban as seriously as they did and carried a weapon that could of, saved
everyone else. But no, no one did that, unfortunately. People are too
law abiding in this case. But I wish someone among those students
trapped in classrooms *waiting to die* had access to a hand gun.

I don't disagree with the whole culture of violence the US spreads. But
little of that effects the 100 million gun owners in the US or forces
them to do nasty things with those guns. It's a very very small number
of people who commit gun violence out of all the gun owners most do so
legally and with responsibility. So...what is it about these people you
don't think should own guns? I just don't get it?

David
