[Marxism] US-Iran alliance in Iraq?

Washington and Tehran are at loggerheads. They are not colluding.

Washington wants to overthrow the Iranian government while Iran
simply wants Washington to leave Iran ALONE. Tehran talks to the
U.S., just like every other country does, but that doesn't prove
collusion between them. Washington has organized a blockade of
Iran almost as strict at that against Cuba, though without the
travel ban. Washington has a massive propaganda campaign which
it funds against the Iranian government. Yet Iran will talk to
the U.S. anyway. Talking is part of struggling, though not in 
the minds of the Liebermans and others campaigning against Iran.

Iran is a capitalist country with a socially and theologically
conservative government, and with a range of domestic social
and economic contradictions. These must be resolved by the
Iranians themselves, using Iranian methods, and without any
additional input from Washington
