Alan Bradley writes to ozleft (which explains part of the sharpness in
tone): <<The "letting us hear the other side" bit is particularly sleazy. It
implies either that "the DSP minority" is being silenced by "the DSP
majority", or that supporters of the DSP majority are somehow obliged to
speak on the minority's behalf.>>

Perhaps I've misunderstood the nature of the DSP's discipline, but isn't it
true that DSP members --and especially an organized minority-- would be
limited by majority decision on what they could and could not say about such
a major political event? Or are we to understand that DSP members are now
free to put forward and discuss in public their disagreements with the
positions and analysis adopted by the majority of the organization or its
leading bodies, as happens, for example, in Solidarity in the United States?

I know this may sound like a "troll" question but I assure you it isn't; I'd
really like to understand better how the DSP understands and applies
democratic centralism.
