Our "Ruthless Critic" of Black female members of Congress affirms: "There is
only one Speaker or President, but there are literally hundreds of
congresspeople. Is everyone's name/face memorized by a cop on duty? Is that
a realistic expectation? (In which case, why are there name badges/tags?)"

Like, duh, dude. 

That's why capitol porkers get a BOOK full of pictures of all the
congresscritters. It's their JOB to know them all on sight. A *requirement.*
Of course, McKinney had ONLY been hanging out on Capitol Hill for more than
a decade. Maybe he hadn't gotten around to Georgia yet. 

As for the name tags, watch c-span, or CNN, or Fox, and see how many times
you see a congresscritter with one of those around their necks. Staff, yes,
journalists, yes, White House visitors, yes, lobbyists, yes. 

Congresscritters? No way.

And how many fat, balding white male millionaire members of Congress did
this particular pig -- or any of the capitol police oinkers-- grab from
behind by the shoulder, in, say the last quarter century or so?
