[Marxism] What is wrong with positivism?

What exactly is wrong with positivism? Isn't positivism a kind  of
materialism? (Sorry about my ignorance here).

Whilst dialectical materialism is in itself a highly positivist system  of 
theory, Marxists reject positivism, as it limits itself only to  facts and does 
not examine the underlying causes of things.
