The Police who had shot dead 7 poor agitators demanding land at Mudikonda in Andhra Pradesh, had submitted an affidavit to the state High Court claiming that the police had fired in to the air to disperse the angry mob. The bullets, while falling down had killed 7 unfortunate agitatorts, while injuring 16 others!
And the police had clamped criminal charges against 600 people who were agitating on that fateful day of 28th July 2007 at Mudikonda, the site of the police shootout.
Most of the people were aimed straight and shot at, as the pictures from the news papers reveal (as Sayan had referred). Video channels had picturised the police shooting indiscriminately with SLRs and AK-47s with their guns aimed horizantally at the people.
Now, the issue of land struggle had become a peoples' issue and the two Communist Parties have decided to spread the land struggle all over the country.
