It is disappointing to see Louis repeating the same old arguments about not voting for the Democrats... We need to go BEYOND these arguments to get at the real ROOT of the problem.

That root is not that people insist on voting for bourgeois candidates. That is going to happen until there is an alternative. The root of the problem is that there is no social base for an alternative, and certainly not the kind of alternative that Louis is presenting.

Exactly.  And the right will be in an even better position to further institutionalize its fascist tendency if we don't put a brake on it now.  It will take years to deinstitutionalize the prevailing political-ideological structure, but we cannot begin that task unless we make the right choice today.  We have to have something real to work from.  The only hope for stifling the fascist juggernaut is voting Democrat. I wish that wasn't true.  I wish there was a viable alternative.  There isn't.  It will be a significant victory for working people if Democrats can take control of Congress. Andrew
