Fred Feldman has gotten right to the heart of the matter in his post on this.

"None of your business" is the correct response to the yellow Press when it
seeks to pry into the private life of workers leaders. News of the World the
now Murdoch owned rag is the living definition of yellow press. For US readers
the SSP leadership's disgraceful dancing to NOTW"s tune is like letting the
O'Reilly Factor or Hannity and Arselick decide who is acceptable to the workers'
movement.

It is equally disgraceful that DSPers have become the Aussie cheer squad for
the SSP leaderships squalid machinations to dump Sheridan. This has been done
against the background of a longstanding bosterist approach to the SSP by the
DSP. But whatever your opinion of the SSP, and I differed with the DSP on
this pretty fundamentally, it requires a blind eye to be turned to the SSP
leadership's class collaboration in the press and the courts over this issue.

This is not to say that matters were perfectly handled by Sheridan but if
forced to make a choice between him and his Solidarity group and the Murdoch
cosy SSP leadership and its cheer squad in the DSP I wouldn't break a sweat-and
I break a sweat real easy.
