I will add something new (since nobody has assumed the obvious). I
don't support working in the Democratic Party. I don't belong to the
party. I never will. I advocate voting for the party in the midterm
elections to deprive the Republican Party of control over all branches
of the US government. I have zero ideological commitment to the
Democratic Party. They are a bourgeois party and I am a communist. I
am making a strategic choice at a particular historical moment to
hopefully achieve a very specific objective. That's why those trying to
lure me into defending the Democratic Party's history aren't getting any
bites. I don't defend the party. I am voting for them in the upcoming
election. If I knew for sure they were going to win, then I wouldn't
vote for them. But it's too close. So I need to help tip the balance.
Andrew

I would urge everybody, and especially Andrew, to review their posts
before sending them to the list on the question of the midterm
elections. If you are not adding new arguments or data, it is probably
best that you not post. We want to avoid repetition on the list,
especially when it is obvious that only three people support working in
the Democratic Party here. This is not one of those questions that
really allows for some kind of middle ground, after all.
