Louis, you should know that when it comes to matters of constitutional and international legal protections there is a difference between Republicans and Democrats, and that this difference is important to the basic human rights that some of us still have an interest in preserving. How you can treat matters of torture and loss of constitutional protections in such a flippant manner is a striking example of your increasing kneejerk shallowness in thinking about the issues of the day.

On this other matter, if you want to be a sociology professor and publish scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals so badly, then you should put in the work.

Andrew

>Okay. Explain to us how Clinton's policy matches in "venality"
>Bush's policy with respect to constitutional and international legal
>protections in the realm of criminal justice and jus in bello and
>jus ad bellum. Be specific now so we can see that you have studies
>the differences. Andrew

I want to urge comrades not to waste time in these sort of
tit-for-tat exchanges with Andrew. We know from his 9/11 posts how
consumed he can become by such pet hobbyhorses. This is not really
the best use of Marxmail. My suggestion to Andrew is to find the time
to post a substantial analysis of electoral politics rather than
these banal one or two sentence chatroom type contributions that
appear for all the world like a comment on atrios.com. He is a
sociology professor, after all, who has written for peer-reviewed
journals. I wonder if he is just slumming here sometimes.
