 Perhaps you were too young to have lived through the Vietnam
War. Democrats are always "proving themselves" as Imperial
Warmakers. If they win it all in 2008, watch and see.

I remember the Vietnam war quite well - as well as the civil rights struggle.  I was right in the thick of it.  But that's irrelevant.  The post I was responding to was asserting that the Democrats would need to start a war to prove themselves after 2008.  That is sheer speculation.
