When did the Democratic House cooperate with the Reagan administration's
support for death squads in Central America?
Remember House Amendment 461 to HR 2968? "An amendment to prohibit
covert assistance for military operations in Nicaragua and to authorize
overt interdiction assistance."
Reagan violated the law, but that doesn't negate the fact that Edward
Patrick Boland, Democrat of Massachusetts, pushed it through.
These things aren't monolithic, Mark. And you seem to have forgotten
that Republicans captured the Senate in 1980, largely because Reagan's
coattails were so long.

Reagan's policies required the cooperation of a Democratic Congress.
But you know that.
