There are a lot of implicit assumptions in Andrew's position.

There is but one assumption in my argument: One does what one can and must do at concrete historical moments. The degree of possible change is structurally and historically variable. The thing to do at THIS moment is push back against the fascistic Republican countermovement. One does this by using the best weapons at one's disposal. Presently that is the Democratic Party.
