I agree with that. The point is, that the wording usually used is not correct.
Before socialism can be archieved, the society is a dictatorship: The dictatorship
of the proletariat. But 'colloquial' the term "socialistic' is widely used.
Another problem, as the answer to your statement shows, is to try to verificate the
praxis with the theory. This shows a lack of dialectic. Discussions like this one
are available in a lot of mailinglists and boards in mostly any corner of the world.
Nevertheless, the determinates of time and development, of external aggression etc.
will change the way and the speed of development on the road to socialism.
Insofar it is true that all that states to some regards are dictatorships. And the
state-owner-ship of production is not the aim of a socialistic society. But it is
the only way, resp. was the only way, to secure the archievment of the revolutions
and the hope to reach the level of development where state is no longer necessary.
Given up state on an early stadium would had meant to give up the revolution for the
idea to stay virgin and clean in regards of theory.
